Privacy Policy

MiNance is developed by NiApps. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our portfolio tracking application.

1. Data Storage and Control

Your financial and portfolio data is only stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account through CloudKit. This data is not collected or accessed by us. You have full control over your data, and it remains completely private to you.

2. Information We Don't Collect

MiNance does not collect, store, or have access to:

  • Your portfolio holdings or transaction history
  • Your financial account information
  • Your personal identification information
  • Your API keys for price data services
  • Any analytics or usage statistics
  • Location data or device identifiers

3. Data Usage

Personal data entered in MiNance is used exclusively to help you manage and track your investment portfolios. All calculations, charts, and analytics are performed locally on your device. Your data will not be used for commercial purposes, advertising, or shared with third parties.

4. CloudKit Synchronization

MiNance uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your portfolio data across your devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac). This synchronization:

  • Only works with your personal iCloud account
  • Is encrypted by Apple's security standards
  • Requires you to be signed into iCloud
  • Can be disabled by turning off iCloud for the app

We do not have access to your CloudKit data or your iCloud account information.

5. API Keys and External Services

MiNance allows you to optionally enter API keys for price data services (Alpha Vantage, Finnhub, Polygon, etc.). These API keys:

  • Are stored securely on your device
  • Are never transmitted to our servers
  • Are used solely to fetch price data directly from the service providers
  • Can be removed at any time through the app settings

6. Data Security

Your portfolio data benefits from:

  • iOS/macOS built-in security features
  • Device-level encryption when your device is locked
  • CloudKit's end-to-end encryption for sync data
  • Secure storage of sensitive information like API keys

Since we don't collect or store your data on our servers, there is no risk of data breach from our side.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by:

  • Removing individual portfolios, assets, or transactions within the app
  • Deleting the app from your device (removes all local data)
  • Turning off iCloud sync for MiNance in your device settings
  • Managing your iCloud storage to remove MiNance data

8. Children's Privacy

MiNance is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for users interested in investment portfolio tracking.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of MiNance after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
